What does this operation involve?

A groin-crease-only thigh lift uses a horizontal scar placed high at the junction between the thigh and groin. It lifts selected upper inner-thigh tissue vertically and can improve a localised fold without a scar continuing down the leg. Its reach is limited, so it is most appropriate when laxity is confined to the uppermost thigh.

01

When it may be considered

  • Localised laxity at the upper inner thigh and groin crease
  • Patients prioritising avoidance of a vertical inner-thigh scar
  • Tissue quality that allows a safe, stable upper-thigh lift
02

Your operation

  • A carefully planned scar positioned within or close to the natural groin crease
  • Removal of upper-thigh skin with secure anchoring to reduce downward scar migration
  • Selective liposuction may be considered when it complements the lift
03

Recovery and aftercare

  • The groin location requires attentive hygiene and wound care
  • Sitting, wide leg movements and strenuous activity are limited during early healing
  • Swelling and scar firmness settle progressively over several months

Designed around your anatomy.

The location and direction of skin excess, inner-thigh contour, skin quality, previous scars, weight stability, general health and the outcome you hope to achieve are assessed together.

You will receive a clear explanation of the proposed scar, whether liposuction may be appropriate, lymphatic and wound-healing considerations, material risks, alternatives and the expected recovery before deciding how to proceed.

Useful information

01Is the scar completely hidden?+

It is planned within or close to the groin crease, but scars remain permanent and may be visible in some positions or clothing. Scar position can also change as tissues heal.

02Why is secure anchoring important?+

The upper-thigh tissues are exposed to downward pull and movement. Deep support helps protect the scar position, although some migration or widening can still occur.

03Does it correct laxity near the knee?+

No. A groin-crease-only lift has limited reach. More extensive vertical laxity is usually better addressed with a standard thigh lift.
