When it may be considered
- Mild to moderate laxity concentrated in the upper half of the arm
- Tissue excess that cannot be corrected adequately through an armpit-only scar
- Patients who accept a visible but shorter inner-arm scar

Understanding the procedure
A short-scar arm lift uses a scar extending a limited distance from the armpit along the inner upper arm. It offers more reach than a mini lift while avoiding a scar running the full length to the elbow. The appropriate length is governed by the true distribution of loose skin rather than a fixed measurement.
Your consultation
Your skin quality, tissue distribution, shoulder and arm contour, previous scars, general health and the result you hope to achieve are assessed together.
You will receive a clear explanation of the proposed scar, whether liposuction may be appropriate, material risks, alternatives and the expected recovery before deciding how to proceed.
Common questions
The length varies with anatomy and the area requiring correction. It is shorter than a full arm-lift scar but longer than an armpit-only approach.
The scar must be long enough to address the tissue safely. Making it too short may leave bunching or residual laxity.
Walking begins early, but strenuous upper-body exercise and heavy lifting are reintroduced gradually after review.
